ABSTRACT
Objetivo: identificar las expectativas de los internos de Enfermería sobre el perfil ideal del enfermero docente depráctica de una Facultad de Enfermería de Lima. Material y métodos: estudio descriptivo de corte transversal. Lapoblación muestral estuvo conformada por 110 internas de enfermería que reunían los criterios de selección. Para larecolección de datos se utilizó la encuesta y se empleó un cuestionario validado, previo consentimiento informado. El cuestionario constó de 45 preguntas, divididas en tres áreas: cognoscitiva, profesional y personal. Para el análisis estadístico se aplicó software estadístico SPSS versión 13.0 Windows. Resultados: los resultados mostraron que en el área cognoscitiva los internos de enfermería opinan que el docente de práctica debe tener habilidad y destreza en los procedimientos y técnicas de enfermería de la disciplina que enseña; en el área profesional opinan que el docente depráctica debe promover el desarrollo de juicios críticos y reflexivos en el educando, y en el área personal opinan que el docente de práctica debe ser receptivo a las opiniones del estudiante de enfermería. Conclusiones: el perfil conformado por las áreas cognoscitiva, profesional y personal del perfil enfermero docente de práctica son totalmente requeridas según las expectativas de los internos de Enfermería.
Objetive: Identify the expectations of the nursing interns about the ideal profile of the nurse educator in practice of a Nursing Faculty of Lima. Material and Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study. The sample population was formed by 110 female nursing interns that met the selection criteria. For the data recollection the interview was used and a validated questionnaire, prior informed consent, was applied. The questionnaire consisted in 45 questions divided in 3 areas: cognitive, professional and personal. For the statistical analysis the statistical software SPSS version 13.0Windows was utilized. Results: The results showed that in the cognitive area the nursing interns believed that theeducator has to have dexterity and skill in the nursing procedures and techniques of his or her field; in the professional area they consider that the educator must promote the development of critical and reflective judgment in the learner; and in the personal area they deem the educator must be receptive to the opinions of the nursing student. Conclusions. The profile formed by the cognitive, professional and personal areas of the nurse educator in practice classes is totally required according to the expectations of the nursing inters.
